Do you think that Olias will be a good SS?

My wife says that he's OK, but doesn't use Arcane Echo properly, so you should forget about that part of the build.
I haven't tried him out with SS yet, but may soon.
I also note that the AI is usually wasteful on causing conditions where they don't matter (e.g., weakness on casters), so I'm not going to give him meleer hate unless I'm prepared to turn it off much of the time.

I have used master of whispers as an ss, not olias yet. But if they act the same then Olias is not a good ss. Exactly what last poster says. He doesnt seem to get that he should use arcane echo before ss. Alot of the time he echo's something stupid.

Horrible.
The AI casts it on the target you have selected - which usually dies quite quickly and wastes most of the damage. I could constantly switch targets and control him, but then I might as well play an SS necro as it would do better. It tends to Echo high recharge skills so you get "spiteful spirit - arcane echo - reckless haste" which is, well, not that great a skill combo. I've tried working out one that does pretty good but can not come up with one. SS recharge isn't that bad and is hard to game the AI. Though there are still quite a few curse skills I have not invested in working with.
There have been decent Curse necro builds I have played so far, none great though. Pretty much any AoE cast curse works well or any single target that you do not mind dieing quickly will work well. Though with some boss battles their weakness in the rest of the game is way more than made up (say, next to last mission).

If you disable Echo and SS and click them manually there fine. If you want him to target a certain enemy, use the lock button.
Heroes FTW!

The AI doesn't prioritize Spiteful Spirit, so you really do need a specialized bar to make it work. I haven't found one that is worth running over a different hero, with the caveat that I don't think there's a reason to run a SS player of a plethora of other builds either.
Peace,
